Its TACO TUESDAY

Heyo my quarantined people! Yes I'm still out here and somehow not completely insane yet. Lots of studies, member lessons, and walks this week.  Nothing too exciting this week so it may be a little short. We have been able to have lessons with the members which has been soo good. One of the families (there's about 5 families in the ward the rest are old people)  offered to let us practice teaching the lessons with them so that has been super helpful especially with Elder Pombo and his english. I will say the memebers are the ones keeping us alive which is great.  On tuesday we had TACO TUESDAY!! I made a video like Lebron's so I hope you enjoy. The video just proves how insane we are becoming, but the rest of the mission though it was hilarious in our messenger groupchat.  One of the Elders had us play dungeons and dragons with him as well. I'm not going to lie at first I thought it was a bit nerdy, but when we started playing I enjoyed it. It brought some life back ...

Transporting The Packages

Another day another week. Can I just say quarantine is so fun. I wish I could be in here the rest of my mission. I'm being sarcastic if you can't tell. This past week has been a little more eventful which is good. Still moving along and riding out this virus.   So this past week our mission President had us move to the Glenfield elders flat. President moved us because our service in the flat was complete rubbish and our washing machine broke (we were washing our clothes by hand for 4 weeks). Elder Pombo was used to it because in the Philippines that's usually what they do.  Our mission President ordered 2 cabs to pick us up individually with all of our stuff packed. The move was a nice change it makes things more fun and interesting. I will say I wasn't looking forward to this move because of the elders we were moving in with. They aren't the most obedient and diligent which is frustrating and not the best example for my main man Elder Pombo. We've just gotta be...

England Leeds Mission Update

Dear Parents and Leaders. (and Missionaries, except the YouTube part, sorry)     It is an honor to be with the missionaries of the England Leeds Mission.  Currently, there are 151 young Elders and Sisters serving in the field. They are joined by two full-time couples and Sister Green and me.  That makes 157 of us here in the East of England, down from a high of about 210.  The sudden departure of many has made for some interesting logistics.      We would be even less (141) had we not received 16 new missionaries from the England MTC right before the closure of all MTC’s.  These new missionaries have injected a great energy and enthusiasm into the mission.  Despite being ‘hunkered down’ in their areas, our new missionaries are grateful to be in the field.      One of the elders stated that he felt like Indiana Jones grabbing his hat just before the large door slammed shut.  (Can’t remember the reference?  YouTu...

England Leeds Mission Update

Dear Parents & Leaders,      It was an honor to join with Saints around the world to celebrate the restoration of the gospel of Christ. Our missionaries had the opportunity to participate from their individual flats and apartments. They reported to us about their appreciation for technology that allowed them to see 4 of the 5 sessions live. Most importantly, they loved hearing from our Prophet and Leaders.    Like many around the world, the missionaries in the England Leeds Mission are self-isolating. The British government has set the policies and we are compliant.  Here is the instruction:    To stop the spread of coronavirus, you should only leave the house for very limited purposes: * shopping for basic necessities, for example food and medicine, which must be as infrequent as possible * one form of exercise a day, for example a run, walk, or cycle – alone or with members of your household * any medical need, including to donate blood, avoid or e...

Still Going Strong

Hello my quarantined people! How is the staying inside life treating you all? I cant say I'm enjoying my time stuck in my flat, but it does offer some times to deeply study, ponder, and pray. I know there's a reason for all of this and I have faith things will turn out eventually. I can't believe this time I have to be a missionary, and I'm truly grateful the Lord has blessed me when being able to stay here in England during this pandemic. It is so weird and sad to know that most of my friends have returned home and been released. Just want to let them know I pray for them and hope they cant adjust well  while in this weird stage in life. I'm grateful for the services they rendered and I know God will guide them to where they need to be.  As for me these past 2 weeks have been pretty boring as youd expect. I've decided that I want to read the Old testament. I think I'll be here for a while so I might get to finish it haha. Luckily Elder Pombo and I were able...

England Leeds Mission Update

Dear Missionary (Family Members & Leaders), Usually the first day of April is full of pranks and good-natured jokes.  This year, the coronavirus is all of the mischief and trouble we can handle.  Thankfully, the Lord is at the helm and will continue to direct us during this difficult season.   Early this morning, we received additional missionary information from the leaders of the Church.  You can find the letter here - https://newsroom. churchofjesuschrist.org/ article/service-options- missionaries-march-31-2020 As previously stated, the missionaries in Europe and the UK will remain in place and continue to serve.  Despite the challenges of isolation, we are committed to our purpose – “ Invite others to come unto   Christ   by helping them receive the restored gospel through faith in Jesus Christ and His Atonement, repentance, baptism receiving the gift of the Holy Ghost His Atonement, repentance,  baptism,...
