Transporting The Packages

Another day another week. Can I just say quarantine is so fun. I wish I could be in here the rest of my mission. I'm being sarcastic if you can't tell. This past week has been a little more eventful which is good. Still moving along and riding out this virus.

So this past week our mission President had us move to the Glenfield elders flat. President moved us because our service in the flat was complete rubbish and our washing machine broke (we were washing our clothes by hand for 4 weeks). Elder Pombo was used to it because in the Philippines that's usually what they do.  Our mission President ordered 2 cabs to pick us up individually with all of our stuff packed. The move was a nice change it makes things more fun and interesting. I will say I wasn't looking forward to this move because of the elders we were moving in with. They aren't the most obedient and diligent which is frustrating and not the best example for my main man Elder Pombo. We've just gotta be examples that's the best thing we can do.

We did member lessons this past week, which is great to occupy our time and strengthen relationships with them. We've had some fun activites over video call. We did a mission wide zoom call and broke out into different rooms and had a little mission mingle. Our leaders are the best they are helping us out during this quarantine which I'm grateful for.

Spiritual Thought:

I'm currently in Alma and during my studies this week I came across this scripture in chapter 26 verses 27-28 :

"27 Now when our hearts were depressed, and we were about to turn back, behold, the Lord comforted us, and said: Go amongst thy brethren, the Lamanites, and bear with patience thine afflictions, and I will give unto you success.
28 And now behold, we have come, and been forth amongst them; and we have been patient in our sufferings, and we have suffered every privation; yea, we have traveled from house to house, relying upon the mercies of the world—not upon the mercies of the world alone but upon the mercies of God."

Though being on a mission has its challenges, the Lord will provide a way for us. We go from house to house, person to person and we get rejected and mocked. The Lord is preparing the way. Especially during this quarantined time as I am writing this. This also can apply for the future in the world as more and more grow further away from God. We just have to rely in our Father in heaven and our Savior Jesus Christ and we can endure our trials.

Hope you all are well and staying safe. Keep going we've got this!! Have a great week! Love you all!
