Zone Conference, Exchange, And New Friends

Image
Hey everyone, hope you've had a good week! Thanks for all who emailed as well. You can email me anytime during the week I just can't respond till monday. I'll try my best to respond to everyone.  Ok so this week was a pretty solid and busy one. It went by so fast I feel like. Anyways the first thing that happen this week was Zone Interviews with president and sister green and training from the Zone leaders. It was such a great time we all met at our stake center and had a few words from President and Sister Green. One thing I really loved that I got from them was that we should all come with the speed of light. This light is the light of Christ and as missionaries we should always bring that light to everyone we meet. The light cleaveth unto light. As we bring light into our lives more light will come towards you. I loved that. He also said that we should scorch sin and temptation by bombarding it with scripture study, prayers, and anything else that brings us closer to God...

Week 3

Hey guys! Hope you had a great last week. My week was a busy one so buckle up. I'll try to format this week as best as I can. TUESDAY :  Elder King and I went on an exchange with our district leader Elder Kidd and his trainee Elder Wiegman. So early that morning we set out to Dewsbury which is about a 40 min drive. We met at there flat and I went with Elder Kidd for the day.  We first were dropped off on a street for knocking and said a prayer that we may be led to those ready for the Gospel. We knocked on about 40 doors and it was a great experience for me because I got to see how Elder Kidd does his thing. He's been out for about 6 months and he's such a great talker and can carry on conversations so easy it seemed like. He bridged it over to the gospel so well each encounter we had. We then knocked on this woman Ann's house and she actually was willing to hear our message. We asked if we could meet later today and she said YES! Wow this was unreal we had a new friend...

1st Week In The Field

Sorry for no update last week we were transferring into the field and they wouldn't let us email.  So this past week I got my first trainer in the mission field. His name is Elder King and he's from Bountiful, Utah. He's been out for 13 months already so he knows his way around. Our area is in a place called Meltham which is in the countryside with tons of small villages. We have a decent flat and thankfully we have a car so we can get to places easy.  The day I got there we went right to work. We started along a street and went door knocking. Not gonna lie I was pretty anxious and scared, but it ended up being alright. The rest of the week has been just a rollercoaster of emotions. We've had a couple people to teach and a less active. They've all been good experiences and its going to be an adjustment.  So the less active we've been teaching her name is Ann and her husband Emanuel who isn't a member but supportive. I had an idea to show her a talk by Uchtdo...
