2 Week Update (Staying Busy)

Image
Hey everyone! Hope you've all had a good week. These past 2 weeks have been quite good! Sorry for no email last week we got busy. The past 2 weeks we did a bunch of service, the sun was out, had exchanges, went to meetings, and taught lessons. The life of a missionary! So I'll try to go through some of the highlights this week and I hope I didnt forget anything.  We had our Zone Conference 2 weeks ago and we focused on becoming the masters teachers. It was a great conference and for our Zone we used lighthouses for our analogy in the training it was awesome! Ome quote I love that President has said is "A good well placed question is almost always better than a perfect statement" I pondered on this for a bit and was reminded of the way the saviour taught and one thing he was really good at was asking questions. Learning to ask the good questions will benefit us immensely.  We had our district come outside our place for a district dinner. We made pizza one of the nights...

Things Are Opening Up!!!

Hey everyone hope your week was good! This week was busy, busy, busy. We had transfers this week so we were moving missionaries around. We had some service opportunities, some lessons, and meetings so it was great to be busy! This couple named Robert and Sam help out the less fortunate in the council estates near the church. We are planning to utilize the building more as things open up!  We also had a super good lesson with our friend Elijah. We read the story of Moses parting the red sea and he seemed to really love it. He told us "its weird because I've read this before...

Things went pretty well this past week and I enjoyed all the service and outside time we got.  Since the government easing restrictions on meeting outside we were able to do some service for a few peoples gardens. The weather has been decent so we've been able to do some good work. We went with a member to a place called B&Q (which is owned by Home depot so it looks exactly the same) and bought a bunch of gardening tools for the church to use. The mower was like a vacuum compared to the states which I thought was funny. Anyways our ward leaders are working hard with the city council estates to set up opportunity for us to come by and do some garden work. We are looking forward to all the service we will be able to do. I love SERVICE!  Unfortunately this last week we were unable to contact Vijay for a lesson. We will try again this week. We were able to meet with Elijah and read more of the Bible with him and the spirit was st...
