Racing For That Piston Cup

Wow what a week! Hope you all enjoyed your week last week I had a pretty solid one. We had our Zone Conference, planning, lessons, driving miracles, and private number phone calls! Let's dive right into this week.  So, at the beginning of the week, we had our mission/zone conference. The first session was as a whole mission and the second session was just our zone. This transfer we will be focusing on Preach My Gospel chapter 11 "How do I help people make and keep commitments?" and our 3rd objective as a mission "Inviting with Inspiration" we received wonderful instruction from the assistants and mission presidency. For our zone conference Elder Dupre and I and the Sister Training Leaders gave a training focusing on the things discussed at mission conference. One cool/funny thing we did is we had the sisters drop off cookies to a companionship in the zone, but they didn't tell them they had (they just placed it on their doorstep). Then as we were giving our ...

Driving Through Jolly Ol England

Heyo everyone! This week was pretty good. We had transfers, meetings, planning, and I took my driving test!  We unfortunately didn't have a lot of lessons due to moving missionaries around and other meetings as a mission. We did get the chance to meet our potential friend named Anthony. We planned to meet him at a park and read some of the book of Mormon with him. It was quite rainy when we got there so we didn't do too much reading but we got to talk to him and understand his story. He had been telling us that this singer from Italy has been coming after him for about 10 years. He tells us she's the devil and he's trying to get rid of her. He told us he had found God and God told him he should be baptized. We are more than willing to help him out with that, but he doesn't seem like he has all the screws tight in the head. He was telling us that God has forgiven him for killing people, stealing, and all of that and I was a little taken back. I didn't show it but...

Last Week Of The Transfer!

Hey everyone! Hope you all are doing well. This week has been a solid one, we had some in person contacts, lessons, meetings, and running some errands for missionaries in the zone. Things are looking promising here in England! Restrictions are lifting and the virus is being controlled.  Here in England one if the restrictions has to do with meeting outdoors. We are limited to 6 people or 2 different households at a time. We were planning to have a district council in person together but we have 7 people in the district so that kind of threw a wrench into our plans. So, we came up with an alternative. Elder Hancock and I have double glass window doors and a small back garden so we set up chairs and table for the district to sit outside. Meanwhile elder Hancock and I sat inside with a table and chairs looking out the windows. We called them and put them on speaker to have district council is was funny haha. We then had a district lunch afterwards and our district leader elder Cuayahu...

Teaching With A Testimony

Heyo! Hope you've all had a great week. This week wasn't too bad I enjoyed it. We had all sorts of meetings, service, and face to face meetings. We had our missionary stake studies this week. All the missionaries in the Leeds stake joined in on a zoom call and we lead a discussion about the Gospel of Jesus Christ. It was a good discussion we talked about Elder L Tom Perry's talk titled "The Gospel of Jesus Christ" it was fitting for the disccusion. We did some service for an old lady in the ward. When we got to her house we noticed that shes a hoarder haha. We looked at her windows and front garden and there was just rubbish everywhere! She wanted us to clear up a pathway on the side of her house and so we got to it. We looked around the back and side of her house and counted a whopping 23 rubbish bins! I've never seen anything like it. She was a nice lady though and gave us some soup cans and sandwiches for her gratitude. We went on exchanges this week with t...
