I can't believe it but this is the last email of my mission. I have learned and done so much and I am so grateful for the experiences I had. This week went pretty well! It flew by and we did a lot of good things. Here are a few highlights: We had the opportunity to teach Jasmine twice this week and it was great! We usually meet outside for our lessons because we can go inside her flat without another male, but this week it was just rain rain rain. We had to find a member to come with us and thankfully we found someone. We invited Victor (a returning member who wants to go on a mission) to the lesson. It was such a great experience for him and Jasmine both. The spirit was so strong and we all bore powerful testimony. We talked about faith and why it is the source of all spirit experience. Jasmine is understanding a lot more which is great and is slowly getting there. We invited her to Institute with Elder and Sister Williams (YSA Institute senior couple). She came and it was a good...

Heyo everyone I hope you are doing well! I am headed into my final week of the mission. I can't believe it. 2 years pass and I've learned so much. I'm excited to be home but also going to miss the time I've had in England. Its going to be a great final week I can feel it. This past week went well. We had a few lessons cancel, but had some great opportunities to serve, teach, and find. We also had a few meetings. We had a great lesson with our friend Jasmine and we taught her the restoration. She told us at the end that that lesson she understood the most. Now with her we are focusing on her gaining a faith in Jesus Christ and gaining a witness that the Book of Mormon is true. Spiritual things take time and its sad that I won't see her progress in person, but I have a good hope that she will gain her witness of the truth and have a desire to be baptised. We also had a crazy experience this week. We got a response from a service ad a while back and they needed some h...

Wow this week was great I enjoyed it! Hope you all are doing well and had a good week. This week was full of exchanges, studies, and service. So to start off the week we went to a place called Bradford to have exchanges with the missionaries there. We did some service, had some lessons, and also got to eat some German kebab which was really good. Elder Menzel liked it but wasn't as good as the good old German kebab back home. On Wednesday we met with the Leeds Stake Missionaries and the Huddersfield Stake Missionaries for stake studies as well as interviews with President and Sister Green. It was so good to meet in person again and we got to discuss lots of good things in our study. We continued the "journey" theme from zone conference and played a blindfold activity. We had one missionary blindfolded and their companion had to guide them to the otherside of the room without touching the obstacles in the way. We were making noise and trying to be a distraction. We compa...

Hey everyone hope you've had a great week! These past 2 weeks have some lows but also some highs. So, to start with the lows 2 weeks ago Elder Dupré and I had covid so we were stuck inside our flat the whole week. It was the worst! I had lost my sense of taste and smell and I was so tired. We managed to have lessons every day, but it sucked being tired and achy! We were able to get over it thankfully and Elder Menzel, our new companion was able to come. For those who don't remember Elder Menzel is someone I trained a year ago. It will be a fun time to be with him again for my last ride. This past week we did a lot of planning and preparing for zone conference. We focused on Baptism and Confirmation. We created a theme/analogy to help us teach. We compared it to a journey or adventure we go on. We gave them 4 options to choose from (The grand canyon, Amazon Jungle, Yorkshire Dales, or Tahiti) and they chose Tahiti. We asked them to grab a backpack and come on the journey with u...

Hey everyone! Sorry the lack of email last week. I'm going to just share some of the highlights and lowlights of these past 2 weeks. So, the weather has been great and the sun has been shining so I can't complain there but sadly it won't last too long. We were able to do lots of garden work for the community and participate in the youth club at our chapel. Service is one of the best parts of missionary work I love it. We went on a couple of exchanges these past 2 weeks and we were able to teach and serve which is what's it's all about. I downed a 20-piece hot wing bucket from KFC and let me tell you it did not feel good afterwards Haha. We also celebrated one of the elders' birthdays by getting some Papa John's it was really good. We went to a few other meetings throughout the week. There is a missionary in our ward who in the home MTC about to head off to Italy (reassigned to Manchester). We were able to play some sports with him in the park for his prepa...

Wow what a past couple of weeks it has been. I regret not writing last week (just so busy didn't really have time). This email is going to be a packed one so buckle up! So, 2 weeks ago, we had the wonderful opportunity to meet in person as missionaries! We met as stakes. So, we got a chance to meet with the Leeds stake missionaries and the Huddersfield Stake Missionaries. We got to have our first in person interviews with President and Sister Green for the first time in 15 months! It was so good to see them and to be with other missionaries. In each stake we had a study about the commandments. We focused on Preach My Gospel chapter 4. Elder Dupre and I led the Huddersfield study and Sister Houskeeper and Sister Wong led the Leeds stake. It was a great experience and I'm hoping we get to meet as a zone next transfer which I think is likely to happen if things go according to plan with government restrictions. We had lots of opportunities to meet inside people's homes and...
