Teaching With A Testimony

Heyo! Hope you've all had a great week. This week wasn't too bad I enjoyed it. We had all sorts of meetings, service, and face to face meetings.

We had our missionary stake studies this week. All the missionaries in the Leeds stake joined in on a zoom call and we lead a discussion about the Gospel of Jesus Christ. It was a good discussion we talked about Elder L Tom Perry's talk titled "The Gospel of Jesus Christ" it was fitting for the disccusion.

We did some service for an old lady in the ward. When we got to her house we noticed that shes a hoarder haha. We looked at her windows and front garden and there was just rubbish everywhere! She wanted us to clear up a pathway on the side of her house and so we got to it. We looked around the back and side of her house and counted a whopping 23 rubbish bins! I've never seen anything like it. She was a nice lady though and gave us some soup cans and sandwiches for her gratitude.

We went on exchanges this week with the Bradford Elders, Elder Frandsen and Elder Swett. I went with Elder Frandsen my old comp and we had a couple phone call lessons outside. It was quite cold and started to drizzle a bit but we got through it.

I also got to ball up with some polish guys the other day as well. We went to Halifax with the Elders over there and we balled with them. I missed playing basketball it was so fun!

We had a great lesson with our friend Elijah! Elijah has begun reading the Book of mormon and has enjoyed itso far. We had a lesson with him and read from John 10:14-16 as well as 3 Nephi 11:1-17. We wanted to connect the Bible to the Book of Mormon and he seemed to learn a lot from it. We also have Catherine who was a referral from the London mission. Catherine is from Zimbabwe and is a Christian. We were able to have her attend zoom church and have a lesson. She is open to learning more and wants to understand why there is so much division in churches today. She has a Book of Mormon and we invited her to read a little bit each day. We are looking to involve a recent convert in the ward named Tino who is from Zimbabwe as well! Alina is next, she is busy as ever with school, but we are staying in touch. She is currently getting a bible and Book of Mormon verse sent to her every day. We also have been messaging a few people over social media which may lead to friends in the future.

Spiritual thought:

2 Nephi 29:7-8

"7 Know ye not that there are more nations than one? Know ye not that I, the Lord your God, have created all men, and that I remember those who are upon the isles of the sea; and that I rule in the heavens above and in the earth beneath; and I bring forth my word unto the children of men, yea, even upon all the nations of the earth?
8 Wherefore murmur ye, because that ye shall receive more of my word? Know ye not that the testimony of two nations is a witness unto you that I am God, that I remember one nation like unto another? Wherefore, I speak the same words unto one nation like unto another. And when the two nations shall run together the testimony of the two nations shall run together also."

This chapter in the Book of Mormon talks about the last days and those who will reject the Book of Mormon. I love these verses because it shows Gods hand and mercy to his children. He remembers all of his children. The Book of Mormon is a testimony of Jesus Christ and I have been assured of that this week. Recieving and sharing a testimony is one of the most powerful things we have in this life. Read and apply the things taught in the Book of Mormon and you will see an increase in peace and testimony.

Anyways that's all I have this week I hope you all have a wonderful week and I'll talk to you later! Love you all!
