"When Ye Are In The Service Of Your Fellow Beings Ye Are Only In The Service Of Your God." ~King Benjamin
Heyo everyone hope you've all had a great week! Things went pretty well this past week and I enjoyed all the service and outside time we got.
Since the government easing restrictions on meeting outside we were able to do some service for a few peoples gardens. The weather has been decent so we've been able to do some good work. We went with a member to a place called B&Q (which is owned by Home depot so it looks exactly the same) and bought a bunch of gardening tools for the church to use. The mower was like a vacuum compared to the states which I thought was funny. Anyways our ward leaders are working hard with the city council estates to set up opportunity for us to come by and do some garden work. We are looking forward to all the service we will be able to do. I love SERVICE!
Unfortunately this last week we were unable to contact Vijay for a lesson. We will try again this week. We were able to meet with Elijah and read more of the Bible with him and the spirit was strong we love it. We are thinking to introduce the Book of Mormon next time so we will see how that goes. We have a few other potentials that we are working with and a guy who wants some 'baptizing' so I'll keep you updated on them!
This weekend couldn't have been better. It was General Conference and Easter! There were some fantastic talks given at the conference and I'm excited to study them more.
We also recieved the transfer and Elder Hancock and I will he staying! We are excited for another and ready to grind. This transfer will be another 5 weeks instead of 6. Transfers are tomorrow so we will be coordinating with the other leaders in the mission to get missionaries where they need to be so itll be a crazy day! We also moved out of the 4 man flat and will be living in our original one for our area. It's a nice flat and it'll be a fresh start with just us 2 which will be nice.
Spiritual thought:
A quote from Elder Uchtdorf this last conference:
" Because of Jesus Christ, our failures do not have to define us. They can refine us."
I love this quote because often times I feel like a fail or that I fall short often, but because of Christ I know that my weaknesses refine me and help me become the person I'm supposed to be and want to be.
Thank you for the love and support I hope you have a great week!
Love you all
