2 Week Update (Staying Busy)

Hey everyone! Hope you've all had a good week. These past 2 weeks have been quite good! Sorry for no email last week we got busy. The past 2 weeks we did a bunch of service, the sun was out, had exchanges, went to meetings, and taught lessons. The life of a missionary!

So I'll try to go through some of the highlights this week and I hope I didnt forget anything.

We had our Zone Conference 2 weeks ago and we focused on becoming the masters teachers. It was a great conference and for our Zone we used lighthouses for our analogy in the training it was awesome! Ome quote I love that President has said is "A good well placed question is almost always better than a perfect statement" I pondered on this for a bit and was reminded of the way the saviour taught and one thing he was really good at was asking questions. Learning to ask the good questions will benefit us immensely.

We had our district come outside our place for a district dinner. We made pizza one of the nights and had grilled cheese the other it was a fun time. We also got a new missionary which put our district up to 7 instead of 6. This means that we couldn't all meet together the 2nd time around, but thankfully we have technology.

We introduced the Book of Mormon to Elijah and scheduled a meeting with him later in the park to give him a copy. We had a great walk with him and learned that he is very dedicated to God. He is looking forward to reading the Book of Mormon and we are planning to meet with him again on saturday.

I've found a bit of success on social media lately. I've been messaging random people and I've gotten a couple good responses. I've had conversation with a girl named Jasmine who has no religious background. I've been able to teach her about prophets, the bible, and the Book of Mormon. She was asking a lot of questions about how we can gain peace and happiness in this life and about those who dont follow the commandments. I was able to send her a Book of Mormon and we are going to talk about it later when she gets it. Hoping all goes well with that.

We had a chance to do a lot of service this week and we had an exchange with Elder Armstrong (From Australia) and Elder Fullwood (From England). They were doing service for Dianne in Halifax actually. Dianne was the lady I found through a service ad and she is currently on a baptismal date which is amazing! The weather was so nice these 2 weeks I've started getting tanner because of it. Sadly all good things come to an end and we will be having some rain this week unfortunately.

Last thing I wanted to mention is that we had our 2nd in person meal appointment outside in their garden. They really appreciated the interaction and I felt so good being in a in-person tea appointment! Things are promising for the coming future of missionary work here in England. We are getting more missionaries and we are so blessed by the Lord for it!

Heres a quote I liked that I came across

"When we set out to help people solve the problems that we struggle with ourselves that in turn is what teaches us the solutions" ~Simon Senek

Have a spectacular week everyone, love you all!
