The Beginning Of The End
Hey everyone hope you've had a great week! These past 2 weeks have some lows but also some highs.
So, to start with the lows 2 weeks ago Elder Dupré and I had covid so we were stuck inside our flat the whole week. It was the worst! I had lost my sense of taste and smell and I was so tired. We managed to have lessons every day, but it sucked being tired and achy! We were able to get over it thankfully and Elder Menzel, our new companion was able to come. For those who don't remember Elder Menzel is someone I trained a year ago. It will be a fun time to be with him again for my last ride.
This past week we did a lot of planning and preparing for zone conference. We focused on Baptism and Confirmation. We created a theme/analogy to help us teach. We compared it to a journey or adventure we go on. We gave them 4 options to choose from (The grand canyon, Amazon Jungle, Yorkshire Dales, or Tahiti) and they chose Tahiti. We asked them to grab a backpack and come on the journey with us. We told them to grab different items and compared them to principles that can help us in our missionary efforts. It went really well and we are hoping to make this transfer an impactful one for the zone.
We also met with Jasmine this week and she is doing very well. She powered through all of Nephi and we were very impressed. Bless her reading those Isiah chapters in the Book of Mormon. We read Alma 18 with her and related King Lamoni's experience with coming to know with hers. She really liked it. Please pray that she can feel and recognize spiritual experiences!
One cool experience that happened is that I was able to post a service ad on Facebook buy and sell pages and I have received about 30 responses it is insane. So many people have reached out for help and we are excited for the opportunity to serve. I also had someone message me about joining a new church because their church was a bit older and I was excited about that because we have a perfect ward to embrace her because we are in a YSA ward. I'm hoping something can come from this!
Spiritual thought:
Drawing the Power of Jesus Christ into Our Lives ~
By President Russell M. Nelson
"Our focus must be riveted on the Savior and His gospel. It is mentally rigorous to strive to look unto Him in every thought. But when we do, our doubts and fears flee."
Anyways I hope you all have a great week! Love you all!
