Dropping BOMs Left And Right

Wow this week was great I enjoyed it! Hope you all are doing well and had a good week. This week was full of exchanges, studies, and service.

So to start off the week we went to a place called Bradford to have exchanges with the missionaries there. We did some service, had some lessons, and also got to eat some German kebab which was really good. Elder Menzel liked it but wasn't as good as the good old German kebab back home.

On Wednesday we met with the Leeds Stake Missionaries and the Huddersfield Stake Missionaries for stake studies as well as interviews with President and Sister Green. It was so good to meet in person again and we got to discuss lots of good things in our study. We continued the "journey" theme from zone conference and played a blindfold activity. We had one missionary blindfolded and their companion had to guide them to the otherside of the room without touching the obstacles in the way. We were making noise and trying to be a distraction. We compared this activity to following the spirit or on our journey using our map. The spirit is crucial in missionary work. It was a great time and I'm going to miss having missionary meeting like that.

We had another exchange with some other Elders living in Meltham. They came up to Leeds for it and we had a blast. The day started off really rainy, but God blessed us with better weather that allowed us to so service. I went with Elder Price to do some service for a lady I found on Facebook. She was very chatty and her kids helped us cut their hedge. She brought them up to be very open minded so we were able to talk about religion a bit and we gave them a Book of Mormon each. We then met up with the other elders later in the day and we painted the young family's fence. We got chatting a long story short we gave him a Book Of Mormon as well and he said he would like to hear more. Unfortunately he isn't in our area but we were super excited about that! Service is just the best thing.

One last update with our friends! Elijah was a bit busy with a new job he got so we have to find a new day to have studies with him. Our friend Jasmine is doing great we taught her about the plan of salvation a little bit. We felt that it may have been too much for her, but we pray that she can recognize and feel the spirit as we bear testimony and she takes action in our invitations. Our other friend Ossah is doing good as well she is actually called Elizabeth. She let us know after 4 calls that her real name is Elizabeth so that was funny.

SPIRITUAL THOUGHT:

The Candle of the Lord
~By Elder Boyd K. Packer
Of the Quorum of the Twelve
"We do not learn spiritual things in exactly the same way we learn other things that we know, even though such things as reading, listening, and pondering may be used. I have learned that it requires a special attitude both to teach and to learn spiritual things. There are some things you know, or may come to know, that you will find quite difficult to explain to others. I am very certain that it was meant to be that way."

Anyways it was a great week and we enjoyed it a lot! I loved serving and I'm going to love continuing to serve! I hope you all have wonderful week and I'll catch you next week!
