Transfers & Updates!

Sorry for the lack of emails lately it has not been my favorite transfer and some of the weeks have been pretty meh. This past week was probably one of the longest of my mission it sucked haha. We were able to have a bunch of lessons with some less active members which has been good.

This was the last week of the transfer which I have been ready for its been so long. Anyways we recieve transfer calls and I will be staying in South Shields getting a new companion named Elder Burt from New Zealand. This will be Elder Burt's last transfer so I will be finishing him off. This upcoming transfer will last 7 weeks and will be a unique one. We have the opportunity each transfer as missionaries to meet together and recieve trainings from our mission leaders. This transfer will be the first one where we invite all the lifetime member missionaries to join us full-time missionaries. It will be a powerful event and will really help us both work together to gather Israel.

We took a mighty hit this transfer with missionaries leaving and tight restrictions taking place. At the end of this transfer we will be losing about 14 more. Our numbers are dwindling but the work is still moving forward. I would just ask that you pray for the England Leeds Mission to receive more missionaries to strengthen the areas we are covering.

Spiritual thought:

Sorry if this is a bit long but I came across this scripture as I was doing this past weeks come follow me. It's in 1 John 3:19-24

"19 And hereby we know that we are of the truth, and shall assure our hearts before him.
20 For if our heart condemn us, God is greater than our heart, and knoweth all things.
21 Beloved, if our heart condemn us not, then have we confidence toward God.
22 And whatsoever we ask, we receive of him, because we keep his commandments, and do those things that are pleasing in his sight.
23 And this is his commandment, That we should believe on the name of his Son Jesus Christ, and love one another, as he gave us commandment.
24 And he that keepeth his commandments dwelleth in him, and he in him. And hereby we know that he abideth in us, by the Spirit which he hath given us."

As I was reading Joseph Smith's history Joseph was talking about the different sects of relation and how their interpretation of the bible was different than the others. I was lead to a scripture about understanding truth in 1 Corinthians 2 and it talked about having the mind of Christ allows us to know the truth. As I read this scripture in 1 John 3 I understood a little bit more about how we can really know truth and feel of his love. As we keep the commandments and believe in Christ that he will give us an answer we will have his spirit and our Joy will be full. I loved this idea and I really know that as we live up to the standards the Lord has set we can experience much joy and His spirit to be with us.

Sorry for the lack of detail and excitement this week, just trying to get these emails out. I'll try to give you something more exciting this next week. Thank you for your continually support and prayers, love you all have a wonderful week!
