Spiritual Preparation For Lockdown
Hey everyone hope you're all doing well and staying safe. These past 2 weeks have been pretty good for the most part. We have been trying to to service and teach our friends but with weather, this whack virus, and them being busy we haven't had a whole lot of lessons but it's ok that's how it goes sometimes.
Sorry for sending the last email a week late and this email will be mainly this past week. I wish I could tell you a bunch of cool stories but the weeks haven't been too thrilling haha. We did however have Zone conference this week. It was a really good conference and very eye opening.
The theme of the conference was focused on diligence and using our time wisely. As a mission we have done fairly well at doing the work but there are still some things that we could be doing better to help fulfill our purpose. It was a wake up call for us all. President green isn't a numbers guy but he doesnt ignore them. He showed us the baptisms and effort percentage(compared to last year) from all 5 UK missions. Let's just say the England Leeds mission could do a lot better. This zone conference was definitely a building block and preparation for how we do missionary work moving forward.
Also some a crazy disaster and miracle in 1. So as some may know Englands corona cases are ramping up big time and now we going into a national lockdown like when we first started. We will still be able to go outside but only with 1 other person. These rules and guidelines will take place this Thursday. The miracle from this is that one of the sisters friends in the district wants to get baptized really bad so they set it up for tomorrow before the lockdown! I was able to give him an interview today and he is ready for it! This will be so exciting for him as well as the sisters. So grateful this was able to happen before lockdown takes place.
Spiritual thought:
I just want to share a scripture with you to ponder this week. It's in Isaiah 41:10
"10 ¶ Fear thou not; for I am with thee: be not dismayed; for I am thy God: I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee; yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness."
Thank you for the prayers and support! I hope you have a fantastic week!! Love you all!
