New Missionaries And A Spiritual Boost
What a great week! I hope the week was good for you all like it was for me. General Conference was fantastic and enjoyed all of the wonderful talks given. The Spirit was powerful and I really felt the divine power of Gods love for his children. Our mission President told us on a zoom meeting the day before conference that this will be one of the only times in our lives where we will be completely sanctified watching General Conference. I never really realized that I only get 4 General Conferences where I am completely set apart and pure from worldly distractions. Being a missionary during this time is a huge blessing!
I would explain and share with you all of my thoughts about conference but I won't. I would love to hear your own thoughts and impressions during this past conference. So please email me and let me know!
As for the week it was alright. A lot of our friends were unable to meet but that gave us more time to figure out Facebook. It really is hard to be creative and I wish I was given the gift of creativity. The Lord is showing us the way slowly and we are preparing for something far bigger. We did however have a good come follow me study with our friend Tanya. She really enjoys the studies and agrees with the doctorine completely. She just cant get over the Joseph Smith concerns. It is preventing her from recieving an answer so please pray that her doubts and anti church darts from the adversary will be trampled by the light of the truth.
We had some service and played some sports with some other missionaries. Restrictions are tight but some how we are doing alright. I take my theory written driving test tomorrow so prayers will definently be appreciated for that haha. I also forgot to mention but we got new sisters! They are both from America which is crazy because we haven't been receiving many missionaries at all let alone from the states. Now its 6 sisters and Elder Menzel and I. We feel a bit out numbered haha.
Spiritual thought:
3 Nephi 17:3
"3 Therefore, go ye unto your homes, and ponder upon the things which I have said, and ask of the Father, in my name, that ye may understand, and prepare your minds for the morrow, and I come unto you again."
As you read this scripture think about this last conference. Remember and ask yourself these 3 questions:
What did I hear?
What did I feel?
What am I going to change?
As you ponder and reflect on these questions about this past conference the spirit will reveal things to you and you will remember what the Lord wants you to do.
Thank you all for the support and prayers. Til next week love you all!
