The Virus Is Spreading But So Is The Gospel

What's going on everyone? Hope you're all doing well. This week was quite average for the most part. Nothing tooo exciting except for turning 20 officially not a teenager anymore! 

So weve done a bunch of service and that has been going well. Our friend Vanda that we are doing service for was planning to have an elderly day center but because of covid that idea wouldn't work and she was getting stressed about not being able to pay for the center and that she might lose it. Luckily the spirit inspired her and she is switching it to a doggy day center instead! We are helping her get everything set up and hopefully will be able to help her play with the dogs when it's up and running. 

We also taught our friend Amanda and she is doing well. We are involving a member who has had similar experiences and a single mom as well so I'm excited for that. We are planning to have another call with Mary this week. We had a really good call this past week and we felt a lot of love/the spirit with her it was good. Prayers would be much appreciated. 

We also had a really go district council. I trained on what "going back to the future" means in missionary work. It revolved around a devotional given to the missionaries by Elder Uchtdorf. I talked a lot about finding and the new ways of missionary work. We had a really good discussion and the spirit was strong I loved it. In the devotional Elder Uchtdorf quoted a talk given by President Kimball titled "When the world will be converted" that I'd like to share with you. President Kimball says: 

"If we do all we can, and I accept my own part of that responsibility, I am sure the Lord will bring more discoveries to our use. He will bring a change of heart into kings and magistrates and emperors, or he will divert rivers or open seas or find ways to touch hearts. He will open the gates and make possible the proselyting. Of that, I have great faith.

Now, we have the promise from the Lord that the evil one will never be able to frustrate totally the work that He has commanded us to do.

“This kingdom will continue to increase and to grow, to spread and to prosper more and more. Every time its enemies undertake to overthrow it, it will become more extensive and powerful; instead of decreasing it will continue to increase; it will spread the more, become more wonderful and conspicuous to the nations, until it fills the whole earth.” (President Brigham Young, April conference, 1852.)

I'm excited for what the future has in store and I know the Lord is preparing a way for his children and the work to move forward (Alma 13:24). I encourage you all to look for ways to share and spread the gospel and add to the Lords Batallion.
