Spirit Filled Week

Wow this week has been quite good despite having a lack of lessons. We had some service and mission tour this week which was amazing. 

This week we had the wonderful opportunity to have a mission wide conference with Elder Kopischke (co-pish-ka) one the councilors in the Europe area presidency. Elder Kopischke is from Germany and he spoke to our mission about a few different things. He emphasized the role and power of the Book Of Mormon. He talked about the concept of "walk with me" in this case walk with the savior. We don't just give our friends the knowledge of the Gospel and let them get to the tree of life. We walk with them and bring them along the path. Elder Menzel and I are really going to try to implement this into our work. We loved all the insights and the spirit testified to me once again and assured to me that the Book of Mormon is indeed TRUE. Other things I liked were the tools we have available for us to help those around us come to know the truth. Tools that bring power:

-The name of the church 

-Testimony 

-The Book of Mormon 

-The Spirit 

We had a couple phone call lessons with our friends (I am tired of having phone calls I just want to see people in person) and they went fairly well. Our friend Mary is looking forward to conference and we are as well. Our other friends John, Amanda, and Tanya all had to reschedule so we hopefully can meet with them this week if the weather permits. 

Sorry if there isn't much to this weeks email there wasn't anything too exciting that I could include that wouldn't bore you.

Spiritual thought: 

3 Nephi 13:20-22 

"20 But lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust doth corrupt, and where thieves do not break through nor steal.

21 For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also.

22 The light of the body is the eye; if, therefore, thine eye be single, thy whole body shall be full of light." 

When our focus is on the savior and becoming more like him our rewards and blessings will be great. I have seen time and time again that when there are those who dont focus on the savior they lack the blessings and joy they could recieve in their lives if they did focus on Christ. Take a moment to reflect on your focuses and realign your eye that it may "be single".
