Time Goes Fast And Slow On The Mission
Heyo everyone how is it all going!? Sorry for no email last week I really have no excuse. This past week has been really good. We have had some good lessons and service as usual. We've also have been able to ball up and play some spikeball which has been so nice in quarantine.
So our friend Mary has been doing very well and she is loving our calls. She truly has a testimony of The Book of Mormon. She has a solid testimony and the Gospel can help her and her son immensely.
Two weeks ago we were going through some old formers and met this lady named Tanya. Now Tanya used to be a member a long while ago but left the church because of some anti church concerns she had stumbled upon. We asked if she would mind if we could help her resolve some concerns and she agreed. Weve called her once and met in person another and it has been soo great. As we were helping her answer some concerns we could tell the spirit was working with her and she was having her heart softened. It is moments like these that make me miss normal missionary work. I love these experiences and hope to make more, but there is plenty of opportunity to create them even when it's in qurantine.
Another big thing that happened this week was Zone Conference! It was so fantastic and something that is applicable to us all. The theme was christlike attributes and we focused on becoming the students of the master. I'll just share one thing I liked from it that I wrote down.
-"Aptitude (ability or potential) ----> FUELED BY -----> Attitude ----> DETERMINES -----> Altitude (how far you make it)
We model to become like the savior so we can teach others to become like him and find the joy it brings
We should be like a thermostat and not a thermometer. We should adapt and become the best person we need to be at the right time just like a thermostat changes the temperature to keep us feeling good at the right temp."
I really enjoyed it and we should pray for the ability to develop the attributes of the savior. It's not easy my any means but through the Atonement of Jesus Christ we can become better and more like him. I love this gift we've been given.
Thank you all for the support and prayers! Have a great week and I'll catch you all later, love you all!
