1 Year Of Service And Praying For The Fonts
1 year people 1 year! It has been a long but short year. I find that that's how the mission is. The days are long but the weeks are short and I cant believe I'm over the hump. Definitely an interesting mission experience and lots of lessons learned and are being learned. This week has been busy and great!
So we've been able to still do some service and that has been so good. We are able to answer questions about the church and just build a friendship with the people we are serving. We've had a few lessons with our friends and they've been so good. Tanya and Amanda are doing well and we are really helping them know for themselves that the Book of Mormon and the Prophet Joseph Smith are true.
Exciting news for our friend Mary though! Mary has accepted a baptismal invitation!! We are so excited for her and want to help her work towards baptism as best as we can. Your prayers for her will be much appreciated. She needs all the strength and courage she can get. We will also be praying that the fonts will be able to open soon. We will keep you updated.
This past saturday we had a Facebook live event about the family. Us and two other sets of missionaries got permission to use the chapel. We had a family decent turn out and it all worked out smoothly. Other missionaries in our Zone recorded some musical numbers and it was amazing. Last I checked the live has reached 1k views so that has been soo good. We are hoping to do another in a few weeks before the end of the transfer.
Spiritual thought:
I wanted to share a quote from a book my mom sent be titled: "The Power of Everyday Missionaries" by Clayton M. Christensen
" Most of us fear failure. Once we have realized that we succeed as member missionaries when we invite people to learn and accept the truth, much of the fear that kept is from sharing the gosepl vanishes. We give them the opportunity to exercise their free agency. Some will use that agency to accept the gospel. Others will not, and that's fine. We succeed when we invite."
It doesn't hurt to invite others to the gospel. You'll be successful whether they accept it or not. I challenge you when you feel prompted to invite someone to the gospel or have someone in mind do it! No need to fear because you'll succeed either way!
Thank you all for the support and prayers have a fantastic week! Love you all!
