Work Work Work
Hey everyone hope all is well! This was the last week of the transfer and it was a really solid week. We have had tons of service opportunities so its been great.
So a few times this week we were able to have some tea appointments with members and it has been sooo good. I love to get to know the ward and members it's been so great to have that social interaction. We also have been on that video/phone call lesson grind so it's been good.
So I posted an ad of facebook offering free service and got a lot of response. One lady named Dianne reached out asking for help in her garden allotment. As we were helping her out some of the other ladies next to her garden were asking for our number. Dianne didnt want to share us it was so funny. We ended up getting a lot more opportunities with gardens and charity shops. I'm loving this service thing. It is so nice to get out and serve those around us.
We also recieved transfers this week. My oh my it was so stressful. Our mission President tells us one thing and then means another but then something completely different happens. Our mission President tell us that we won't have a big transfer then tells us that a number of changes will happen. We then get told that there will be a lot of different leadership assignments so the last hour of the day we are all stressing for a call and luckily nothing happens and your boy is staying another with Elder Campbell in Halifax. I'm so stoked we will have a blast and will be super busy.
SPIRITUAL THOUGHT:
Moroni 7:46-47
"46 Wherefore, my beloved brethren, if ye have not charity, ye are nothing, for charity never faileth. Wherefore, cleave unto charity, which is the greatest of all, for all things must fail—
47 But charity is the pure love of Christ, and it endureth forever; and whoso is found possessed of it at the last day, it shall be well with him."
I have found that service and charity towards others has brought me more joy than I can imagine. When I focus on the outward and not on my inward self that is when I'm truly happy. I encourage all of you this week to pray for charity and as you do so avt on small acts of charity. You will find yourself being more full of joy and you will see your problems be lightened.
Nothing too exciting this week though sorry for no email last week. I wasn't motivated and you weren't missing out on a whole lot.
Anyways have a great week everyone! Thank you for the prayers and support! Love you all!
