Run-Of-The-Mill
Hey everyone! Hope you're week was good. This week was alright we had interviews with President and Sister Green which were great as always and went for a 12 mile walk one day. One thing that quarantine has to offer is that we have time to make more complex meals which has been great because we are branching out from the usual chicken and rice or pasta.
Alright so this week consisted of some member lessons and going to the park. Getting to know the members more is always great and we have great discussions using come follow me. We met a member we haven't before and it was such a good call we could've talked for hours.
On Wednesday we had our interviews and they were awesome I talked to Sister Green and she told me a lot of uplifting and motivation things. When I talked to President he was telling me that I am high up on the list of people to transfer to a new area. When I heard that I was mixed emotions. I loved getting to know the members and also being able to find Julian. I know Julian was found for a reason and its to set him up for future missionaries. I love the area but I also am looking forward to a new area as well. What I'm thinking is I will have around 4-5 different areas on my mission so I hope I go somewhere cool or somewhere I can find that special family or person.
On Friday Elder Harmon had his football package delivered but the parcel(package) was at the Royal Mail facility so we all trekked 2 miles up to the place. When we got there the office employee said that it was at the other location 5 miles from where we were so onward we went. My feet were killing me at this point and I was already sore from a P90x Ab workout I did the day before. We finally got to the the collection warehouse and found out that starting today us missionaries can meet up to 6 people so we were so chuffed by that news. When we got back to the flat we had a lesson and ate some lunch. Our plan afterwards was to go meet with Sam and Earnest to play some American Football. They ended up not making it but we still played around with an ACTUAL football this time which is soooooo much better lemme tell ya. By the end of the day I was dead. That night I slept like a rock it was so nice.
Our discussion group went well again. Unfortunately no new faces but Karina came and it turned out pretty good. The question was, "How can a belief in Jesus Christ help me?" We had some great insights and it was a great teaching environment for Karina.
Spiritual thought:
In 1 of our member lessons this week they wanted to discuss this talk and it was such a good one but I wanted to share a part of the talk that I liked that I find to be so true and critical in these latter days.
Stay By the Tree by Eder Pearson
"There is no room for average or complacent disciples. Average is the enemy of excellence, and average commitment will prevent you from enduring to the end.
If you are struggling, confused, or spiritually lost, I urge you to do the one thing I know will get you back on track. Begin again to prayerfully study the Book of Mormon and live its teachings every day, every day, every day!"
The thing that has helped me through this quarantine is the study of the Book of Mormon and without it I would be off the rails. In order to endure well we need to be doing the small and simple things and do what is important by growing your testimony in Jesus Christ and The Book of Mormon.
Anyways that all I have for you this week. Thank you for all the support and prayers. We will get through this pandemic soon enough. Til next week, ta ta!
