Ups And Downs

Hello everyone!

Hope you've had a good week. This past week had some highs and lows. We had our Zone Conference and I got to play basketball this week!

So I guess I'll just start with the bad news and get that out of the way. So we had a schedule lesson with Grace on Tuesday and she said she got called into work so we rescheduled for Wednesday. Well the next day she texts us and says that she's going to the hospital for her health and won't be back til Saturday. So I made sure she could do Saturday for sure and she said yes. Well we planned for 2 o'clock and she said that she forgot and was still in the hospital. At this point I'm a bit frustrated because she is telling us she can meet for sure but floggs us. So I ask her if she can do Sunday for sure and she says yes 100%. So we get ready for Sunday and she tells us if we can do 3 instead of 2 because she's hopping in the shower. Then at around 3:15 we get a text from her claiming it's her dad who's on her phone telling us that Grace isn't feeling well. It seemed so sus because everyone is in quarantine and her dad doesn't live with her. We are thinking we will drop her because she has done this for about a year and a half with missionaries. We will see what ends up happening.

Moving on to the good things. We had our Zone Conference Friday and it was all on Preach My Gospel chp.10 about improving our teaching skills. It was so good to see the whole zone and hear from our leaders. On Saturday we went to go ball up at a park the other Elders found the other day. It was a long walk, but made the trek to hoop. Elder Pombo and I were shooting around and these two kids around our ages came and wanted to play with us. They noticed the badges and started asking questions about it. They went to church too and loved what we were doing. I asked them if they had ever heard of the Book of Mormon and wanted a free copy and they agreed to take one. We got their number so we can meet up again and give them one. They were super chill and one of them loved American Football so we might do that next time we meet with them. It was a cool experience and made me reminisce on the good ol times when we could proselytize outside haha. The rest of the week was good nothing too special. We did visit some ruins which were really cool as well.

Spiritual Thought:

I am studying the Harmony of Gospels and I came across a simple short and powerful verse in Luke 1:37

"37 For with God nothing shall be impossible."

This is absolutely true. Things will work out and we will get through this pandemic. God will provide a way. Trust in him!

Hope you all have a fantastic week! Thank you for the support and prayers! Love you all! Feel free to email or message me!
