We've Got A 2419 A Mass Exodus!

Wow so much has gone down in so little of time. Lots of stuff to cover so I'll try to not keep it too long.

Well we met with the cape crusader again in the mental unit, our brother Stephen Ford. I'm not going to go too in depth with the experience, but let's just say It was one of the funniest interactions I had and I got it all on my phone. Stephen loves us elders and is passionate about Jesus Christ. We are working with him and will keep you updated.

Well my mission has gone through an Exodus, just like Moses and the Israelites in Egypt. Because of the spread of the Corona Virus throughout the UK and our mission has take initiative. We got a message on Thursday telling us we would have to stay in our flats in quarantine and we could go outside for a walk but needed to stay isolated to slow down this spread. President also let us know that all the senior couples would be sent home for safety and instruction from the first presidency. Also that all elders and sisters with health concerns either physical or mental would have to be sent home as well. So we were in quarantine on friday when Elder Yoakum got an email with travel plans to head home. So he had to start packing for his flight the next day. We then get a call from the Zone leaders telling us to both back and that we need to get Elder Yoakum to Leeds that night to make his flight. Elder Hadfield and Sychagov zoomed over about an hour and a half later. Elder Sychagov was going home as well because he has asthma. I end up driving because Elder Sychagov isn't feeling well and  Elder Hadfield couldn't. So I drove about 3 hours to Leeds.

We get there super late at night and get about 1 hour of sleep. Then another Elder who wasn't leaving came with me while we waiting for everyone to depart at the airport. It felt like such a long day we were up at 3 am till they got back around 1pm. We had to stay in the car as well because we were quarantined. Luckily Presdient Green treated us all to a restaurant when all the Zone Leaders came back. Then Elder Hadfield, Elder Stewart, and I drove back down to Peterborough (peterbruh) another 3+ hours.

We stayed in Peterborough for Sunday and it was quite weird not going to church. We had a relax day, and we trying to figure out this whole online missionary work. The whole mission is in pandemonium with almost a third of the mission gone. We lost 50-60 missionaries.

Just when you thought things couldn't get crazier, we had our prep day. We started cleaning and planning for the day setting up a few lessons and were going to go get some emergency supplies when Elder Hadfield is told to call President. After the phone call he comes back into the room and says "I've just been called as assistant". Elder Hadfield has only been out a year so we were so shocked. He needed to be in Leeds immediately so we had to pack all of his stuff and zoom to Leeds. We had to pick up some other Elders as well because there was  another Elder with a car in Leeds who needed a companion so we drive 3+ hours up to Leeds. At this point I'm dying because my back and butt is sore. And has youd  imagine we had to head back down for around 2 1/2 hours.

These past couple of days have been so weird and crazy. We are hopefully getting transfers here soon to fill in all the holes in the mission. We are also getting like 14 sisters too, its nuts.

Anyways I'm fine, but I'd like to reshare this scripture: Proverbs 3: 5-6

"5 ¶ Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding.
6 In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths"

Always trust in the Lord and understand that you won't understand everything immediately. This virus will soon die down and us missionaries will get out there again. The Lord will and is hastening the work. Trust in him. I'm so grateful for our leaders and trust in them completely. Hope you all have a great week stay safe! Love y'all!
