Coronavirus Update Thursday Night

Dear Family / Unit Leaders, 


Much has happened in the last few hours.  You are probably reading the news and tracking the information from Church and other sources.  Here is more about what we know.   


All Senior missionaries (except us and one other couple, the Kearns) in the England Leeds Mission will be returning home as soon as flight arrangements can be made. 


Young Elders and Sisters will be returning if there are any serious health needs*.  We have been told that there is no latitude for these assigned issues.  As we will be with little or not support, the threshold to send missionaries has been fairly low.  


We have been told to expect travel to begin on Saturday and continue until all missionaries have been moved.  Flight information will be coming to you from Church travel with required isolation plans.

The list of chronic health conditions would include without latitude.

• Lung conditions (asthma, COPD, interstitial fibrosis)
• Diabetes (type 1 or 2)
• Renal insufficiency
• Active coronary artery disease
• Using the following medication: Embrel, Humira, Methotrexate, steroids (administered orally)
• Significant emotional problems
