6 Months And A Sweet Piece Of Home

Hiya friends and family! Hope the week was good because mine was. Our friend Julian came to church!!

So this week nothing to spectacular happened till Saturday. We were trying by some potential we made knocking and we left to this guy named Julian's house to see if he was still interested. One thing about Julian is when I first met him he had a dodge ram truck from America and he loves anything from America. So we go by his house and his truck wasn't there so go a couple doors down by another potential and Juliam pulls in with his truck. Elder Kidd is proper chuffed because he has the same type of truck back home and we walk over to him and chat him up. We end up going into his home and seeing all of his cool vintage toy cars and war helmets. Julian is probably the coolest English old man I've met. He was an extra in Fury, Saving Private Ryan, and other war movies. He told us about his out of body experience and how he was in a war and got RPGed. He tells us that God told him that hes not done yet and has something bigger for him and that's why hes alive still. We had a really good "get to know you" lesson and talked a lil bit about the Plan of Happiness and Book of Mormon. We invited him to church and he came!!

I haven't had someone I'm teaching come to church before so I was happy for that. He liked church and said it made him think. He wants to come back and we are going to set up an appointment with him this week, so things are good.

Transfers are next week which means I've been out 6 months. Time is flying but not at the same time.

Spiritual thought:

2 Nephi 32:9
"9 But behold, I say unto you that ye must pray always, and not faint; that ye must not perform any thing unto the Lord save in the first place ye shall pray unto the Father in the name of Christ, that he will consecrate thy performance unto thee, that thy performance may be for the welfare of thy soul"
- pray always and he will strengthen you and help you overcome your trials. You cant do it on your own. Reach out and he will help.

Have a great week everyone. Love the emails, and thanks for the support/prayers. Love you all!
