Exchange, Chapel Tour, Faithwalk, And First Transfer Completed

Cheers, Lads and Lasses! Hope you've all had a good week. I enjoy the emails I get so if you haven't already what are you doing send it! This week was pretty eventful.

So we went on an exchange with the Dewsbury elders and I went with Elder kidd this time. We had such an amazing experience. We started off with a prayer to see what area we should knock once we narrowed it down to one place we prayed again for a street to knock.

We came to the street Burnsall Road. When we got there it seemed like a pretty small street with about 20 or so houses to knock. Before we started we said a prayer for guidance by the spirit and then began knocking. We got 2 houses in and talked to a man for quite a bit it was a really good conversation and we both bore testimony to him and the spirit was super strong. Unfortunately he didn't accept to read or pray he was fine and satisfied on his own.

We finished the first side of the street and walked to the other side of the street. An older dude with shaved sides and a patch of hair in a ponytail was walking his dog. He started to head inside, but we got to him in time and started talking to him. At first he didn't seem bothered by religion and believed a lot of wars were because of these man run churches. As we continued chatting though the Spirit got stronger and stronger. He started to break out of his shell more. He started asking about an afterlife and why we were here in England. I testified to him that the joy I feel from sharing something that's true to others and bringing them happiness in their own lives brings me joy that money can't buy. He related that to his job right now in helping addicts recover and how it makes him feel good when he helps others because he's experienced their struggles years ago. The spirit was so strong and I almost feared bearing testimony to him. We both promised and testified that if he read with real intent and prayed sincerely he would receive an answer. He took the book and was willing to give it a read. Hopefully he can receive his own witness for himself.

The next day we had a chapel tour with some explorer scouts. Only 3 scouts showed up and one of them was a member in our ward. There was 4 leaders that came from their group as well. The leaders were asking loads of questions and were able to answer and testify to them. The Spirit was so strong it was good. We had one of the young men give a presentation on family history work and another gave the tour. After they left we played we played a bit of some chair football which was fun.

On Saturday we had a faithwalk which is where a bunch of people of different Faith's walk and go to each others places of worship it was a cool experience and very interesting. We went to a Mosque and they said there prayers which was interesting as well.

Then sunday night we received transfers. Nothing new with me but we did get a new zone leader Elder McKnenna the one I talked about a while ago who told me to meet him at the rim. Probably the funniest dude I've met, plus Irish so his accent makes it better. This transfer should be a good one I'm excited for it.

Anyways that's what I have this week sorry if it was long I tried to condense as best as I could. Thanks for all the support and prayers and if you haven't emailed already I'd love to hear from you!
